I'm Ezra, and I'm a character illustrator working out of St. Louis, currently attending Webster University. Character design has been a passion of mine since I was young, and that love has only grown as I've grown up. I think it's really important to me to make stories that fulfill a gap in queer media. My interests revolve around queer representation especially in romance. Being LGBTQ+ is a large part of my identity and a driving force of my art.

I would be lying through my teeth if I said the internet didn't shape who I am as an artist. Oftentimes, digital art is treated as though it's lesser, but I think the weird nooks and crannies of art on the internet influenced a lot of young artists from my generation. Its accessibility to a new group of people makes it unique and enabled it to create a space for queer people to see themselves represented, which I think is rad.

As a transgender gay man growing up in a more rural environment, it was very isolating to be hesitant in expressing myself and not see the representation that I believe everyone desires. As a character designer, I tap into that need to feel seen. When creating characters, one of my major priorities is a diverse cast. In a digital age, I feel it's a duty to my younger self to bring representation to other LGBTQ+ people reading comics that need to feel seen too.

I was born and raised in Helena, Montana, and currently work as a student out of St. Louis. I co-parent a cat named Bagel with her other four guardians. When I'm not drawing, you can find me playing games (poorly), writing, getting coffee, or relaxing on my friends' couch.
